Engaging and educational workshops where participants learn to create and perform with their own puppets, enhancing creativity and confidence. We offer shadow puppet workshops and flat rod puppet workshops. A flat rod puppet is a two-dimensional puppet made from simple materials such as cardboard and felt which is then decorated and attached to a rod for manipulation. They can be very simple using a single rod, or they can be jointed to allow for more expressive movement. Shadow puppets are similar but focus on the use of a light source to create silhouettes and coloured cellophane is used to produced exciting and magical shapes on the screen. Flat rod puppets and shadow puppets are an accessible form of puppetry, suitable for all ages and ideal for storytelling. These workshops are perfect for primary schools, libraries and other community settings. Participants of up to 30 can be catered for. All resources are provided to create an exciting and memorable workshop!
Our unique puppet shows captivate children and adults alike with enchanting stories and vibrant characters. Throughout this year we are presenting HEULWEN'S HAT, suitable for audiences of all ages. This show can be adapted for the very young right through to adults. Audiences have included primary school children, U3A groups and care home residents! It's really getting around! Heulwen loves her tatty old hat. She thinks it is beautiful and very useful and holds so many lovely memories. One windy day, however, it blows off her head...and begins swirling, twirling, soaring and sailing over the tree tops...until it is found and re-purposed all through the seasons by a variety of woodland creatures.
